    FYI, something weird.  I'm using IE at work and sometimes when I hit the backspace while typing in this here box, it'll back me completely out of the page.  Also, sometimes it deletes the entire box.  I'm sure it has something to do with work and what not, but I thought I'd mention it.

    I was just going to say...I was using IE7 on a different pc at work and having all kinds of screwy stuff happening.  But IE7 on my work pc (which is much newer than the other one) seems to work fine.  Wish I could use something else but they won't let us install anything.  We only get software upgrades whenever we get hardware upgrades, which isn't often.

    I know that in most browsers, Backspace can be used as a hotkey for the browser's "Back" button during navigation, so whatever's happening it's because IE is getting confused by the comments box.  It's probably something to do with the way your version of IE interacts with the WYSIWYG plugin (aka the thing that adds all those awesome color, size and formatting doo-dads to the top of the comment box). I know that later versions of IE have a "Content Advisor" thing that can play hell with Flash, Java, etc. so I'd suggest getting a different browser if possible, or seeing if you can turn Content Advisor off and see if that helps.

    Can't do either at work...yeah I used Chrome everywhere else and have had ZERO issues.  With anything.

    Except male pattern baldness.  Chrome wreaks HAVOC on my hairline.

    Oh, gotcha...

    By default, you're already Following everything. 
    If you want to Unfollow something you see, hover the mouse over it and
    wait for an "Options" button to appear.  Click the Options button and
    select "Unfollow".

    Aaah.  I think the default setting is "0"...which it should be.  But I get the point.

    Well at work with IE7 earlier I was typing up a post and 4 times when I paused from typing to think the box deleted all my text.  Only a few sentences but I didn't really want to type them 5 times.  I can't disable the content advisor either.  So does that mean I'm just outta luck?  ...that's the first time it's done it but I sometimes write promos during free time at work.  Guess I'll just have to save draft often.

    IE7 and above seem to have lots of weird issues, which is why our company uses Chrome and FireFox for all our browsing. I usually use Notepad for text editing and save a draft if I need to stop and go back to it later. I will continue to keep an eye open for Vanilla updates though, just to make sure we aren't excluding anyone.

    Using Chrome in my last post...formatted okay in the box...but formatting not showing up in the post...any idea why?

    Check your code view, it's really weird. Are you able to use BBCode? Have you tried any other browsers? Force was saying that he had some minor weirdness with Chrome as well, I suspect it's something to do with the WYSIWYG plugin that gives users those jolly little formatting buttons.

    I'm using Chrome as well and testing a couple things out.

    This line, I selected and changed the color after I'm finished typing.

    I changed the font color before I started typing.

    This line started as one color but I removed the formatting.

    I guess I'm not having any issues with Chrome and formatting.  I didn't use bbc though so maybe that's the issue?  I looked at Will's promo and didn't see any BBC used though so I'm not too sure.

    It's killing my line spacing where I'm using the BBCode but not outside of it.  Still, that's less of an issue than I had with Chrome the other day.  

    Let's see how this goes today.
    Mostly because I'm curious.  

    And because it might eventually lead somewhere with figuring out the issues here.

    Strangely, dropping it into Notepad killed the code (on Chrome).
